Terms and Conditions

Effective June 29, 2026

These terms govern your use of Volarra, including the Volarra website and the Volarra desktop application. Volarra is local-first video production software: it helps you plan, organize, import, generate through third-party providers, edit, and export creative projects while your project files remain under your control.

The short version

  • Volarra is desktop workflow software. We do not operate our own generative AI model, sell model credits, host user-generated media, or run a content marketplace.
  • When you use a third-party AI provider, that provider's own account, billing, safety rules, content policies, and terms apply.
  • You are responsible for having the rights, permissions, and consent needed for your prompts, reference media, likenesses, voices, brand assets, generated media, and final exports.
  • Do not use Volarra for face swaps, deepfakes, voice impersonation, non-consensual likeness use, adult or NSFW generation, automated categorization of people, or other unlawful or abusive workflows.

1. Acceptance and scope

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Volarra, you agree to these terms. If you use Volarra on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

These terms apply to the Volarra website, the Volarra desktop application, and related licensing or update services. Additional terms may apply at checkout, through an app store, or through a third-party provider you choose to connect.

2. What Volarra does

Volarra helps you structure scripts, scenes, shots, storyboard frames, prompts, references, generated or imported media, costs, provenance records, and timeline edits. Volarra projects are designed to live as ordinary files and metadata in folders you control.

Volarra may let you send prompts, settings, and reference assets from your computer to a third-party AI provider you select, using credentials or accounts you provide. Volarra may also import media generated elsewhere, such as media produced by services like Google Veo or other providers. Volarra does not promise access to any specific provider, model, quota, price, speed, or output.

3. Third-party providers

Third-party AI providers, app stores, payment processors, hosting providers, codecs, and other services are independent from Volarra. Their own terms, privacy policies, billing rules, usage limits, safety systems, and content policies apply to your use of them.

Provider charges, API usage, model credits, subscription fees, refunds, quota, rate limits, account restrictions, and provider output are controlled by the provider unless Volarra expressly says otherwise in writing.

4. Your content and rights

You retain whatever rights you hold in your project files, prompts, references, imported media, generated media, and exports. Volarra does not claim ownership of your creative work.

You are responsible for making sure your use of Volarra and any connected provider complies with applicable law, provider rules, and the rights of other people. This includes intellectual property rights, publicity and privacy rights, contract rights, confidentiality obligations, and consent requirements for likenesses, voices, performances, brands, and reference media.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Volarra, or cause Volarra to be used, for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, infringing, abusive, or non-consensual activity. In particular, you may not use Volarra for:

  • face-swap or identity-replacement workflows;
  • deepfake images, video, audio, or other deceptive synthetic media;
  • voice impersonation, voice cloning, or imitation without explicit consent;
  • generation or editing that uses a real person's likeness without explicit consent;
  • adult, pornographic, sexually explicit, or NSFW generation workflows;
  • automated decision-making, scoring, profiling, or categorization of people;
  • harassment, abuse, doxxing, threats, hate, exploitation, or targeted deception;
  • political, social, or public-interest deception, including misleading synthetic media;
  • content or workflows that infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, trade secret, or contractual rights;
  • circumventing a provider's safety systems, access controls, rate limits, or terms;
  • malware, spyware, credential theft, unauthorized access, or security abuse; or
  • any use that violates applicable law or the rules of a third-party provider you connect.

Where law, platform policy, client requirements, or professional standards require disclosure that media is AI-generated or AI-assisted, you are responsible for making that disclosure.

6. Subscriptions, pricing, and licenses

Unless otherwise stated, Volarra's standard subscription prices are $10 per month or $100 per year. Taxes, local pricing, promotions, app-store pricing, and merchant-of-record checkout terms may vary.

A Volarra license covers use of the Volarra application according to these terms. It does not include third-party AI provider fees, model credits, API costs, storage costs, app-store charges, or any separate services you choose to use.

7. Software restrictions

You may not copy, resell, sublicense, rent, host, or provide Volarra as a service to others except as expressly permitted by these terms or a written agreement with us. You may not bypass license checks, remove notices, interfere with update or security systems, or reverse engineer Volarra except where the law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.

8. Local files, backup, and security

Volarra is designed around local project folders. You are responsible for backing up your projects, securing your device, protecting provider credentials, and deciding where your files are stored. Volarra's privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Updates and changes

We may provide updates, fixes, new features, or changes to Volarra. We may also change or discontinue features, provider integrations, licensing mechanisms, or distribution channels as the product evolves.

10. Disclaimers

Volarra is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that Volarra or any third-party provider will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every file, or suitable for every project. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, unexpected, unusable, offensive, infringing, or otherwise unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing output before using, publishing, or distributing it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Volarra will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, provider outages, rejected provider requests, or generated output, even if we were advised that such damages were possible.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Volarra licensing, updates, or related services if you violate these terms, abuse the product, bypass licensing, create legal or security risk, or use Volarra in a way that could expose Volarra, our users, our payment providers, or our distribution partners to harm.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Volarra changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised terms on this page.
