The home maintenance binder that
can't be shut down.

HomeForge is a planned local-first Windows app for cataloging your home's systems, manuals, and maintenance history — as files on your own computer, not a cloud account that can disappear.

Why HomeForge

Built for people tired of losing paper manuals — and trusting apps that vanish.

Your home's history can't be shut down

Centriq, the most-loved app in this category, shut down in January 2025 and permanently deleted every user's data. HomeForge's records are files on your own disk — a database and a folder of attachments, not a subscription to someone else's servers.

Buy it once

Planned as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. No recurring fee for storing your own home's maintenance history.

Built for Windows, not ported to it

Every competitor in this space is mobile-first or Apple-only. HomeForge is a native Windows desktop app from the start.

Zero cloud, by design

No account to create, no OAuth integrations, no cloud sync required. The only network call HomeForge ever plans to make is license activation — the same privacy posture as the rest of Volarra.

What it's for

A private binder for a single home.

HomeForge is being designed for homeowners who treat their house as a system worth tracking properly. The plan:

  • A digital binder for your home's systems and appliances — model numbers, install dates, warranty windows, and the quick specs you always have to look up (filter size, oil type, anode rod).
  • A maintenance schedule built for real home-care intervals, not generic calendar reminders.
  • An expense and repair history log tied to each system.
  • A one-click export that hands a buyer a complete maintenance record when you sell the house.

HomeForge is early — this page describes the current plan, not a shipped product. Nothing here is a commitment to a specific feature, date, or price.
